The following are examples of my least-liked expressions but please note that it is not an exhaustive list: ‘Hail fellow well met’, ‘it’s all good’, ‘back in the day’ and ‘you’re so negative’. I hear the last one quite a bit and it’s a little hurtful. And it’s a hard one to counter. I can only say in self-defence, ‘I wouldn’t be so negative if you weren’t such a dickhead and you’re late for school.’
